What are the 5 types of sleep disorders




Insomnia

Difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking too early and not being able to fall back asleep. It's the most common sleep disorder.

Sleep Apnea

A condition where breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep, often leading to snoring and daytime fatigue. Obstructive sleep apnea is the most common type.

Narcolepsy


A neurological disorder that causes excessive daytime sleepiness and sudden sleep attacks, sometimes with loss of muscle control (cataplexy).

Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS)

An uncontrollable urge to move the legs, usually due to uncomfortable sensations. It tends to worsen in the evening or at night.

Parasomnias

Abnormal behaviors during sleep such as sleepwalking, night terrors, bedwetting, or acting out dreams (REM sleep behavior disorder).
